HYMNS 101–110 · RISEN DOUGH RECORDS
Six A.M.
Debut cassette. Ten songs recorded live to a borrowed 4-track in the empty fellowship hall over two Saturday mornings in March 1995, because Sunday mornings were spoken for. The handclaps on side B are the youth group. Sold from the tailgate of a brown station wagon after church for five dollars. Tracy reset the tape counter before every take and wrote the numbers on the J-card by hand.
- 01Never After Noon3:13
Opened every sale-Sunday set from 1995 on. The gang vocals are the youth group.

Words
Somebody saved you one You came in late on a Sunday with your hood up and your head down They were folding up the tables and the coffee had gone cold You figured you had missed it, you were used to that by then You were halfway to the door when somebody said hold on Somebody saved you one Wrote your name on the lid Somebody looked around this room And saw the kid nobody else did Somebody saved you one It's not much, I know But somebody counted on you Long before you ever showed It wasn't any sermon, it wasn't any song It was Tracy with a marker and a box she wouldn't let us close You stood there for a minute like you didn't know the rules Then you sat down by the drummer and you stayed until noon Somebody saved you one Wrote your name on the lid Somebody looked around this room And saw the kid nobody else did Somebody saved you one It's not much, I know But somebody counted on you Long before you ever showed By the summer you came early By the fall you held the door Now you're counting hoods up in the back And saving one more Somebody saved you one Wrote your name on the lid Somebody looked around this room And saw the kid nobody else did Somebody saved you one It's not much, I know But somebody counted on you Long before you ever showed
